we are trying to get income based housing a 2 bedroom apt or house. we live on Social security 3 people . we have been on wait list with conifer village in Patchogue a yr and talked to them longer no openings I even went to the CEO my adult child has 2 medical necessity letter to be near their hospitals form top specialists here . still I dont here tried the social services agencies they have you call a list we can leave PA at any time but need a place to go we reach out to people up there to help us but we dont understand why conifr says 6 months to a yr wait any ideas
Communities that have regular and income based/subsidized housing will often have a certain number of units allocated to be leased at the reduced rates. That said the community may have available openings but you are waiting for one of the Income Based units to open up, its probable that the turnover for these units is not as frequent as the regular units.
