They're a large part of the social ills in that area. They're the ones providing cheap housing for welfare recipients and sex offenders.
The politicians are letting that happening

Who's in charge of Mastic-Shirley?

And as long as the chumps vote in more chumps that's how it's gonna stay

If you’re planning a wedding, it’s probably never a good idea to host it over a septic tank.

A well-cared for system rarely if ever has problems, and if you get a backup it’s at least YOUR backup, and not from your neighbor!

I re-read this thread:

Cesspool or Sewers?

Cesspools just sound outdated. But like I said, if you have one, and it's not giving you any problems, more power to those that have them and don't have any issues. I just wouldn't want one extra thing to worry about.

Yet it has the WYANDANCH 11798 mailing address. Spin it as one may, that house is in WYANDANCH.

Walter Greenspan would be having a field day with this one lol

If you were actively looking, the lack of sewers would stop you from looking at a number of communities, including mine.

But Wyandanch will be THE place to live in the near future! Gentrification! Like Brooklyn! You'll see!

The people have tried, but as long as their school district is mediocre at best, as long as there is prostitution and drug dealers, as long as there are absentee landords renting to ??? nothing will change. The absentee landlords (those who chose to be in compliance of local code as well as in compliance to accept programs) aren't going to sell any time soon as long as there is money to be made.

What laws (other than the ones already in place and enforced) can be implemented to stop human wastoids from doing the white trash thing in their community?

We're in a good district but some kids are getting 70s and 80s on 4th grade math tests and I'm not sure their parents care enough to do anything about it. And by that I mean give their kids a good ass-whoopin'. I don't get it, because they purposely pay so much to be here and yet don't go the extra mile. They expect the teacher - who has 25 other kids in the classroom - to actually push them?
You think kids should be beat over receiving 80s?
