If Verizon is bad then I doubt the rest would be any better. Not sure why service is so crappy in the N Shore. I'm with Sprint and its OK up there. Only reason why I'm still with them is because my phones are paid off and my bill comes out to less than $100 for 2 lines and unlimited everything.
Does anybody know why Northport seems to be where cell signals go to die? I don't need to go there very often but whenever I do, the signal typically plummets once I go north of the high school on Laurel Hill Road. That seems to be the dividing line between being able to get a reliable signal and being lucky if you get just one bar.
That said, I've always had Verizon and so I don't know if the problem is the same in Northport for all carriers or just them.
Nobody wants cell towers near them, so the result is poor service.
