Yes, but the Village of Lindenhurst has a different border than the "Lindenhurst, NY 11757" ZIP Code postal zone, and places that have a "Lindenhurst, NY 11757" mailing address that are not in the Village of Lindenhurst are in Hamlet of North Lindenhurst and the Hamlet of West Babylon.

According to the Census Bureau's online address search function, Venetian Boulevard is in the Hamlet of West Hempstead ("Lindenhurst, NY 11757" mailing address. (CDP or Census Designated Place is the Census Bureau equivalent for a hamlet in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.)

Sorry Walter, I just checked Mapquest.com and even they are saying Venetian Blvd is in Lindenhurst.

To be honest I cannot get your link to work for me. I even went directly to the website and it still does not work so it is not a problem with your link. But regardless the census bureau does not make community boundaries. So I will go with the Post Office, the School District, THE TOWN OF BABYLON and the people who live there!

The Census Bureau uses the community borders as supplied by the Suffolk County Planning Department, and the Suffolk County Planning Department is the keeper of the official maps of Suffolk County on behalf of the Secretary of State of New York State as required by the New York State Constitution.

It's in the south part of the Hamlet of West Babylon (see the map of the Hamlet of West Babylon posted on page 1 of this thread) and in the southeast (southeast, not southwest as originally published) part of the "Lindenhurst, NY 11757" ZIP Code postal zone.

If you have a Hagstrom map that shows city, town, village, ZIP Code and school district borders, it's in the part of the "11757 ZIP Code" that's outside, and to the east of, the Village of Lindenhurst.

Venetian Shores is on the SOUTH side of Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst approx from where the Boston Market is going eastward to the Taco Bell. Turn down any of the north-south roads like Granada Pkwy, Riviera Pkwy, Venetian Blvd etc. Continue south and you will hit Venetian Shores Town park --- a really nice asset to the area.

Venetian Shores borders the Great South Bay although I have seen one state publication that mislabeled it as South Oyster Bay (which is in Nassau).

I am sorry --- I have Hagstrom & American maps but I do not know how to link them.

I know this is an old thread but I want to post the fact. venetian shores is lindenhurst and in lindenhurst schools. harding Avenue elementary schools ir right next door to venetian shores park (the beach hut rocks).
