No we know why many intelligent talented kids never get into the top notch schools. The corrupt liberals are literally everywhere. Even Obama's tennis coach was part of this nationwide scandal.

There's plenty of corrupt right wing CONservatives that did the same thing is well
Regardless of political affiliation. This is wrong and this is as you corrected stated. This is taking away spots from gifted students that aren't as financially blessed which is unfortunate.

"corrupt liberals"

another mid 90's lib v con sheep in the house!

Thinking your precious snowflake is smarter and more talented than they are is a universal problem, not exclusive to political affiliation. Although, it's no surprise this has Long Island ties. Ground zero for over-indulging mostly average kids and assuming they are all future hall of famers and presidents, when in fact, they will likely end up living in ma and pa's overtaxed basement.

How is this illegal when legacy admissions have always been a thing? And also, Daddy making a gift to the university has long been known to secure a spot for underperforming spawn.

Not defending the practice nor the people involved, but I just don't see why it's suddenly being prosecuted.

I also don't see it as political in any way, as it's just another example of rich people's privilege. Things have always been like this, and party doesn't matter.

Legacy admissions are one thing, but falsifying stuff like having someone take your SATs for you or pretending to have this or that accolade to get in is another.

The weird thing is why they couldn't go with the traditional legacy admissions or massive gifts to the school instead? No one really blinks an eye to that.

LI will always be a poster child for white privilege, at least for another 10 years or so.
