As a consumer, and as an educated worker, I side with the "big bad corporations" when it comes to at-will employment. Easily. Talk about hand-outs and entitlement of millenials... Jesus H Christ look at yourselves.
These aren't millennials. The millennials want to stay home all day, get free medical, free food, free housing. At least these union thugs do something.

^ I'm well aware. I'm saying these guys are the ones who usually rip on millennials for being wrong in the head. Meanwhile...

Sometimes I really, really miss Long Island. This isn’t one of those times.

It’s as if at every turn there is someone taking advantage of the system and by extension their fellow Long Islanders. Just sad.

You're doing this 365 days a year? That's what the guy on the LIRR did.

Ok, even if it's doable. Is it responsible if you work for a railroad? You can't tell me these hours didn't take a toll on you. And these guys are responsible for keeping commuters safe.

Having said all of that, this guy never worked the hours. No way. Anyone believing this is delusional.

There is a tremendous difference between a public sector employee working O/T and a private business person doing same.
NAMELY a PENSIONS the gift that doesn't stop giving.
Whereas, if a private company chooses to work its employees for 16 hours a day they are responsible for whatever compensation package the employee is earning.

Blame:

Management: for allowing this to happen
Workers: for gaming the system
Unions: for not allowing any sensible reform

As far as I'm concerned, they're all equally guilty and hopefully reckoning day will come soon for all of them.
