Hello...I am originally from Long Island and when we were small my family always went to Little Africa Beach in Smithtown. I would like to go there again but my mother can't remember how to get there..Can anyone give me some directions to Little Africa? Thank you!

Heading east on 25A make a left onto Moriches Rd (there will be a gas station on the corner and a triangle of land in the intersection). Take Moriches Rd down about 3 miles. Turn right on Long Beach Rd (there will be a golf course on the corner). Take Long Beach Rd all the way down to its end. You will pass by a guard booth (and may have to show ID depending on the time of day). Once past the guard booth head straight for about a quarter of a mile. Little Africa beach will be on your left (directly across from the boat docks).

Thank you so much for answering my post...those directions are perfect...and yes, I think it is in St James....
Don't think I will be getting in now though if there is a guard because my grandparents lived in smithtown and we used to go with them but they are dead now so I don't have a pass...damn!!!

Nissequogue is one of those many villages and hamlets on Long Island where none of the places in the community have the village name in their mailing address: places in the Village of Nissequogue have a "Saint James, NY 11780" mailing address.
