Also Massapequa is surrounded by better towns than Lindenhurst is. Massapequa borders Wantagh (a good town), Seaford ( a good town), Bethpage (a good town), Farmingdale (most is good), and I believe Levittown (a good town). Again, the only part of Massapequa I would avoid is East Massapequa where it borders North Amityville.
Good insight.

The bars thing is pure fiction.

1/2, my wife less than half...does that prove your point? Seriously, my sample area is the families of my kids friends and the family and friends I knew before I had kids.. They are spread all around Massapequa and Mass Park - a failry wide array of cool, normal and retard but far from baddabing shores or Pinky Ring U.

I now what you are saying, and you are somewhat right but a little over the top based on your small sampling. If you met me I would be you think I was a typical LI, chill out guy, not a 'Guido".

Im not trying to paint the whole area as an episode of the Sopranos but you got to admit Massapequa is pretty Badabing.
(More than most of LI.)

Now truth be told theres plenty of Motzoh to go with that Pizza and a fair amout of Irish too, and not everyone is a "retard" in a Pinky ring.
Some neighborhoods down there that are absolutely beautiful. The areas safe, clean, has great schools and plenty going for it.
All Im trying to day is that if youre not from the area (or Italian) you may be in for some culture shock.

Peace,

Crooks

For the record.
I love Massapequa but I love Bay Ridge too for very similar reasons.

It would definitely be on my short list for So Nassau.

It'll always be nice because the locals wont have it any other way.

Well let's be honest - Massapequa (not including the eastern portion which borders Suffolk county) has a long, long way to go as far as 'opening up'.

Let's be completely honest -- the Hamlet of Massapequa borders the Village of Massapequa Park, and it's the eastern part of the Hamlet of East Massapequa that borders Suffolk County.
