Queens is still suburban for the most part, it just seems big and scary from so far out in the sticks

...and the last time Jamaica resembled Hicksville was, well NEVER really, but you'd have to go back to before WWII for the density to be similar.

Im not scared of Queens, in fact I prefer it to most of Nassau.

The only difference I see (aside from the astonishingly high taxes and better Schools)is that Queens accepts the fact that they live in the City and and Nassau desperately clings to its nostalgia.

Old school Jamaica and Hicksville are not that far off at all.

If that's really what you think, I can't honestly believe you're that familiar with either of them. Aside from an enormous disparity in density and glaringly obvious aesthetic differences - Nassau's population peaked in the good old days of 1970. We've been shedding residents yearly for four decades. Your view and comparisons of Jamaica and Hicksville are seriously rose-tinted....no one with a working organ between their ears believes that "OMG NASSAU IZ QUEENZ NOW" hype. It's a mantra for those who can't keep up and the Carolina sellouts.

I know you're smarter than that Crooks, you need to get behind a new slogan. There's nothing wrong with not knowing everything!

Of course "parts" of Nassau look like "parts" of Queens and vice versa...but let's not get carried away.

All Im saying is that the Queens we moved from in the 70s look an awful lot like Nassau today.

Believe it or not, Queens was very suburban and very nice once.
In fact, parts of it still are.

We can agree to disagree.

again, in certain cases you're spot on...but the broad generalization you're making just isn't true.

No hostilities at all, and we can "agree to disagree" - but I'm absolutely positive that if you were a little more familiar with the areas you're talking about, you would disagree with yourself as well!
