Well if they let me in they probably'll let anyone in...LOL
Serously though...I'd have to say with the taxes they charge here in CSH you probably have to be a resident. And the amt of cars in the parking lot (not many) I'd again have to say...you probably have to be a resident but who cares b/c you could always just go in and browse books in the library. Then go up the road to the Huntington library and get the books out of there. It's five minutes away or so.
Browse through the books...walk across the street and watch the boats go by...and bring a jug to fill up from the spring that comes out of the black plastic pipe near the private dock a bit further up the road (on the harbor side).

I think Suffolk is the same as Nassau--all Suffolk County cardholders can take books out EXCEPT stuff (new releases usually) marked "local patrons only".

Last summer at Sayville Summerfest I was speaking with two gentlemen who have purchased property off the LIE, not too far from Splish Splash. They have been actively fighting to push forward a drive in movie theatre/amusement type complex.

Keep your fingers crossed.

OMG! You and me both! (Although my almost 16 year old would be pretty miffed if I stuck him in PJs to go to the movies LOL)

Yeah, the problem with minivans is you can't sneak anyone in the trunk!

No, just kidding!

Well, not really.

I love all that has been said so far about Long Island. There are three reasons why we won't move back to NY: Taxes, taxes and taxes. Apart from those three things, LI is da bomb (and I mean that).

Robert Moses State Park is awesome too.

ok now a drive in would put it over the edge!!!!! I miss them. Get Rocky Horror back in Bayshore and it will be all over. I am a second generation fan LOL The crew that did it in the late 80's early 90s off sunrise highway were hysterical!!!!!
