Well considering that thats more of the northern part of freeport, would i live there? No. In the Southern part (south of Atlantic) if it had Baldwin schools, maybe

LICD’s most objective poster. Bellmore not right near Oceanside. This whole discussion is silly.

I dont live in Bellmore. Who said that?

Y’all are funny.

I’ve lived in pretty much all the towns from RVC to Massapequa though lol & Long Beach ... but um yeah.

I’ll take guess where I live for $200, Alex

I'll stick to my suggestion of Rockville Centre. The area in RVC that one poster referred to (Oceanside Schools, north of Sunrise) is called Greystone. Very nice section. Baldwin is going through some difficult times right now. For 20 years I've been waiting for a downtown rejuvenation project....never happens. All talk, no action. Grand Avenue in Baldwin between Merrick and Sunrise is pretty awful, except for the firehouse and library.

Look at / around Hicksville. If you go north it gets higher end. In Hicksville is middle middle class. Now lots of Indian.

But Hicksville has one huge advantage. Two LIRR lines split just after Hicksville station. So where each of the lines gets one train in any given time period, Hicksville and west gets two trains. And all of the express trains stop in Hicksville. So it makes for a better commute than most other stations.

Idk. I find Hicksville eh. I mean, they can do better than Hicksville on their budget, but it all comes down to prefernce.

Even Baldwin is nicer than Hicksville ...

Yeah, sort of. Still lots of Levitt. I grew up in Levitt and survived.

But if you want nicer, go north to Jericho. But quick access to the Hicksville LIRR station is useful.

Not anymore check out the mls for Hicksville. 1.3m homes now. 7 figure homes all over. It’s a different Hicksville than what your may remember. The Indians cleaned it up and made it $$$.

Isn’t that where the Stearns Park neighborhood is located in terms of NW Freeport?

On another note, what about Baldwin Harbor for the OP? https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/ba...rborcdpnewyork

Not sure on Stearns Park.

I personally like BH but Baldwin tends to get crapped on around here. Nothing wrong with that area. Part of South goes to Oceanside schools also. It’s not too bad. Diverse. Quiet.

The thing about BH is that you’ll prob get a lil bit of a better house. It’s not as desirable as S Bellmore or S Merrick so for example a house costing $800k there you might get a similar house for $700k in Baldwin ... those kinds of things
