Which is the better place to live - Bergen County, NJ or Nassau County, NY???

I don't think EITHER can be judged as superior to the other in all ways!
Give us more specifics on what you like to do, what your current situation is, and what your needs are. That is how people can give you suggestions on which area may be better for YOU. |

Where in Nassau county are you looking? In general though, I prefer ANYWHERE on Long Island to NJ. LI has so much more to offer...there's more to do here & it has more natural beauty. Ugh, and the way the roads are planned (or not planned, as the case may be) in NJ is just awful.

Bergen has the blue laws. Ugh.
that said I have friends out in Teaneck & Englewood and they seem to like it... but no trains! I couldn't deal. (ETA: there are trains in Bergen, just not Teaneck. Although not all NJ Transit lines go all the way to Manhattan.) |
