Deer Park Updates
I have lived in Deer Park for many years in the Quail Run condos and am very happy here. The area has been going through alot of upgrading recently. Deer Park avenue has had landscaping along the meridian and lightposts. Much repaving of roads and of course Tanger (The Arches) to open soon.
Also a new shopping center along Commack Rd. by Nichols Rd. Many new restaurants also. For an empty nester such as myself, this area has good value for the money in housing; most condos on LI are too high-priced for the average person. Also good school district. Sure, I'd love to live in Northport or the Hamptons but let's be realistic. People who knock DP obviously should relocate if they are unhappy. No place is perfect, but as for me, I like it here and intend to stay.
