I saw the Verizon trucks putting in cable in Blue Point which is the Town of Brookhaven.

FIOS TV is here (in Westbury)
If anyone is still interested, FIOS TV was installed for me on May 27, and its all it is hyped up to be. Can't wait to dump those Cablevision DVR's in their laps come Monday, after work (really wasn't in a rush to turn them in, been too busy playing around with FIOS).
FYI we had already switched to FIOS internet and phone a few months back, so this install went pretty quick and without any issues. The original install did take several hours, which has been advertised, but again, no issues.
Make those calls to Verizon, people. Oh, and $150 cash back (well, debit card, but who cares) after 30 days of service.

The Verizon folks at Jones Beach (airshow) told me that FIOS would be coming into Brookhaven town by the end of July.

Yup and I'm lovin' it. I returned the cablevision equipment the same day I got Fios TV installed! No billing problems either, except from Cablevision, which thinks I owe about $30 for a partial month of service, although I cancelled Cablevision before the next billing period (they are charging me for service 5/9 - 5/18 even though I cancelled the service on 5/8)
