Please read some previous threads on this forum. You'll find that the topic gets way too heated and hurtful (I should know ), and adds nothing positive to this site. Can we just say to each his own?

I'm not sure about the worst town but..............in my experience, the worst home I did on LI was in Central Islip. Entire home smelled of pot with crack pipes all over.

ShouldIMoveOrStayPut...? will become famous soon enoughShouldIMoveOrStayPut...? will become famous soon enough
Oh what a fine and tangled mess this whole thing leads to....

If you label an area as less desirable, the community has to struggle all that much more to improve itself, and some of the worries may be false or blown out of proportion.

If you run cover for all the ills of a community, people can make a less than fully informed decision moving there and suffer consequences after tha fact...

South Great River is considered by many as more desirable than Great River which is considered by many as more desirable than North Great River (unless you own a horse)....

But if a politician proposed to change the names to "Great River"....."Not So Great River".....and "Mediocre River".....can you imagine.....?
