I know of Viscardi, he works with the architect we used on the home we sold in Nassau. Viscardi basically stamped his name on the plans even though someone else drafted the plans. But that is all I can tell you, sorry.
GC explains why I am unfamiliar -- we are in Suffolk and my archs are in Huntington, St James and Stony Brook.
As iluv pointed out, you want to be sure of who is actually drawing up your plans. You don't want to be paying a top man's rates only to have your drawings rendered by a draftsman.
I don't know these architects but architects use draftsmen all the time. The stamp on the drawings by the architect make the drawings the architects responsibility and so he/she has reviewd them before they can go to the city and makes them the responsibilty of the architect. The draftsman works as an arm for the architect but the stamp of the architect be insured. Where the drafstman has no stamp/seal/lisence.
Well, I never met the architect, it was the draftsman who came out to the site, drew up the plans, revised, etc. A lot of money went towards those plans. But that was my choice, not assigning any blame. Just make sure you get what you pay for.
I happen to love Jordan Ruzz in Huntington. But they are pretty busy. Good luck!
