Looking for a private room area to rent for a small party after my baby's baptism. Must be in Floral Park or close to it
I will be in NY in late July. Will baptize my baby in Floral Park and would like somewhere nice and comfortable (not too big) to have a lunch with family and friends afterwards. It will be 14-20 people max. Doesn't have to be so fancy. It can be a restaurant, community center, etc. All ideas welcomed and appreciated. Casual is fine. But private is important. Does anyone have any idea where I could do this? Grandma (my Mother-in-law) who lives extremely close refuses us to use her home for the party. Don't know anyone else in this area who would open up their home. Should cost no more than $600.

I second the New Hyde Park Inn. We have had private parties there and everything was wonderful!

Make it 3 for New Hyde Park Inn. I've been there for showers, corporate events, weddings. Very nice establishment for your budget.

Trinity Restaurant in Floral Park
NHP Inn has undergone extensive building addition with new owners. More like a mega wedding factory now. Not sure if they even do small events anymore, except for the restaurant.

Koenig's, how could I forget? Right in FP, right near the train. They even have a party room upstairs.

Not sure if Garden City is too far from you but I went to a graduation party at the Seventh Street Cafe in a private room there and thought it was very nice, good food too. Their website is: http://www.seventhstreetcafe.com.

My sister has lived in area for a long time and used to always frequent Koenigs, I know they loved it. Seventh Street Cafe is probably quite expensive.
