Default Williston Park.....

In terms of, commute to NYC, community feel, quality schools, "main street/shopping", how does it rate?

We were looking at RVC but weren't crazy about everything being off of Sunrise Hwy. Believe Herricks SD is highly regarded as RVC but not sure, and assume commute is a bit longer from Williston Park?

Any feedback greatly recommended. Interested in looking at a house and need to find buyer's agent!

Default For those who may not be familiar with Williston Park

For those who may not be familiar with Williston Park:

Williston Park is a village (incorporated in 1926) in the center-south part of the Town of North Hempstead, in the west part of Nassau County.

Beginning on the north and moving in a clockwise direction, the Village of Williston Park in the Town of North Hempstead is bordered on the north by the Hamlet of Albertson; on the east by the Village of East Williston; on the south by the Village of Mineola; and, on the west by the Hamlet of Herricks.

Williston Park is one of those villages and hamlets on Long Island where most of the places with the community name in their mailing address are not in the village: places that have a "Williston Park, NY 11596" mailing address that are not in the Village of Williston Park are in the Village of East Williston, the Hamlet of Roslyn Heights and the Village of Mineola.

For a good set of town-by-town maps showing all the villages and hamlets in each of LI's 13 towns (3 in Nassau County and 10 in Suffolk County): http://www.city-data.com/forum/long-...-resource.html
