Self-Serve Gas Stations in Huntington area?
Hey guys,
I just moved to an apartment off near Dix Hills Road and Jericho Tpke in Huntington.
I am very particular about my car and don't like anyone touching it. Especially gas station attendants.
After driving around for a few days I cannot seem to find SELF SERVE pumps in this area. Everything I've seen is all FULL SERVICE only.
Please help! I can't stand people touching my car and I'm going to need gas soon, lol!

You can look and look, but you will never find one. Why not? They are illegal in the entire town of Huntington.

What you can do is get out of your car and ask the attendant to let you pump your own gas - or you can watch them like a hawk to make sure they don't drip color changing gas on your car. Or you could drive outside Huntington and get it elsewhere.

Really?? ILLEGAL there?! that's crazy! but makes sense why I cannot find one around the apartment.
Any one have more info on this? Just curious as to why it is illegal...

Isnt all of sulfolk cty its illegal to pump your own? Looks like your going to have to come into nassau. Oh and dont go to New Jersey its illegal there too, at least it was while I was living there.
