There have been many many similiar lists on this forum. You just have to search for them with the "search tools" at the top of the page.

Smithtown, East Northport, Three Village, West Islip, East Islip are all really good or the best districts IMO

The big question is, what criteria do you use to determine "best"?
In my experience, people don't all look for the same thing in a school district.
BTW, if you look on Newsday.com and search for schools, you can get details on the different school districts in Nassau and Suffolk.

I would actually say that those are all considered the "Second tier" behind Cold Spring Harbor, Port Jeff, Harborfields and Half Hollow Hills East/West. (Just talking Suffolk here)

The buying public agrees with you LOL - the CSH school district has certainly put a premium on the price of local housing. Many people move there because of the schools and don't leave until after the kids are in college or out of the house--and of course it's still within commuting distance, is on the water, and has a lot of charm, etc., etc. I miss it...
When my daughter(s) graduated, the graduating class had less than 100 (it's a bit larger now, but still on the small side...)

Let me just clear some confusion, this list is based off rankings on important lists, test score and grade averages and ratings among reputable sources. This list will comprised of only public schools.
