Sea Cliff, I think it's the best looking place on LI hands down, it's been a longtime favorite even though I've got South Shore blood running through me. Places like Laurel Hollow and Lattingtown are lovely, but I'd never want that much property...I like being somewhat close to other people. There are plenty of places in Brooklyn & Queens I'd prefer over the Gold Coast for that same reason.
...and also, like KB I'd have a little place on the North Fork. Maybe Laurel or Jamesport, anything with a porch and a pickup parked in the barn.

I would do the same thing! I love the East End I love the West and and the City! I would buy small places in all three areas. You would never get tired or bored of the same old thing right?

I'd say Five Towns. The Hewletts: Hewlett Harbor, Hewlett Neck, Hewlett Bay Park, Woodmere/Woodsburg, Lawrence/Lawrence Harbor).
This is from a guy who grew up on the North Shore and went to college at CW Post in Brookville/Old Westbury.
I've seen plenty of Lavish homes in my day and I must say that 5 towns may have the nicest homes on the Island. I also like the proximity to the city.
