I've seen plenty of Lavish homes in my day and I must say that 5 towns may have the nicest homes on the Island. I also like the proximity to the city.

Not many people know this area exists! Parts of Lawrence look like the Hamptons.

I'll have to drive by. I know Long Island so well because I have been here for over 50 years & have lived everywhere from Sag to Roslyn Harbor , but that is the only part that I don't think I have ever been through.

Yep, the southeastern end. You can find $7 - $12 million homes easily. It's probably the weirdest neighborhood in Nassau. West of the train station(by the post office) is totally run down; it looks like the worst parts of Roosevelt. East of the station looks like Oyster bay Cove.

Waterfront, Miller Place, Rocky Point or Shoreham.
The views from the bluffs are spectacular.

West of the station you're in towards Inwood--not sure where the exact line between Lawrence and Inwood is.
Back Lawrence (the section behind the country club) is one of the most expensive pockets of LI, and the rest of the village is no slouch either though you get less for what you pay than elsewhere (due to the particular demographics of the area).

There's an upper middle class section along with an affluent section of Lawrence. Next time you're there, try driving over the train tracks to the western side of Lawrence, it's totally run down. Inwood is further south(southwest)

Huh? You made my head spin trying to figure this one out, haha...the divider between Lawrence and Inwood is the LIRR Far Rockaway Branch. The ZIP code extends much further north (all the way to Meadowmere Park, in fact!) but the village boundary is at the train tracks.
That "Back Lawrence" neighborhood is truly one of Nassau's hidden gems. It looks exactly like the Hamptons, especially the Isle of Wight neighborhood. The only way you can tell you're not eighty miles east is the sight of the high-rise apartment buildings in Far Rockaway, it's pretty surreal. Way out of the price range for 99% of the population, but worth driving through for a look if you're in the area. Another Five Towns oddball is that Lawrence actually extends west of the Atlantic Beach bridge. Very tiny remote neighborhood centered around Seagirt Avenue, it's mostly Far Rockaway but one block (Beach 2nd) is still in Lawrence. Tiny little cottages and bungalows, some of the nicer ones in Far Rock. There's a small sliver as you go north along Nassau Expressway as well!
