There are some nice spots on either side of 97 by 347. I know a gal who lives down off of Washington (near an elementary school) and she is happy with her home, neighbors and the schools.

School district is in the lower tier of Suffolk county Schools. If you don't have kids or aren't having them soon, that's not much of an issue, but it's part of what keeps housing prices down there.

Which report are you looking at? You've piqued my curiosity.
I'm on the site, just not sure where you are looking.

High school ratings 2001-2002..you have to pay for years after that. Also, look at their rates of graduation, regents scores, and % going on to college. Lower than mid level districts like Sachem and West Babylon.

Thanks.
We know the data is older; from what I am hearing from some MC parents is that the schools have been improving. Who knows? *shrug*

You can compile the new data and come up with similar results. There are reports on every school district on the DOE website that list all kinds of information in terms of student performance and demographics. They're doing better, but they are still below the median for the area in terms of regents scores and kids moving on to college. .
