You do not want to commute to NYC from Manorville every day unless you like living in your car.

I liked Manorville when I lived there but if I had to commute to NYC, eh, not so much. Seriously, figure out the driving time or the train time for your daily commute and ask yourself if it's worth spending that many hours of your life going to and from your job. You might want to think about the cost associated with that commute, too.

li23 is on a distinguished road
I think Manorville is way too far to commute to NYC. I live about 50 minutes West of Manorville and it takes me about 50 minutes to get into NYC on a great day without too much traffic. During rush hour -- by car? I wouldn't even venture to guess. The train is an option but it would probably be close to 2 hours each way... not sure but you can check out the LIRR train schedule online.
Breast Cancer rates on Long Island are the highest in the nation. Eastern Suffolk County has some pretty sad statistics. You need to do your research. There are cancer clusters in other parts of the nation too, not dogging my home town, but you really need to know where you are going to be living.
