https://www.newsday.com/news/health/...rus-1.50366531

A Nassau County police officer has died of the coronavirus — which for the second year in a row is the leading line-of-duty killer of police officers in the United States.

Charles "Chuck" Vroom, who was on the county police force for 17 years and had been assigned to the Williston Park-based Third Precinct, died Sept. 12, according to a tweet from his labor union, the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association. Vroom is survived by his son, Sean.

The Nassau County Police Department posted on Twitter about the death.

"The #NassauCountyPD mourns the loss of P.O. Charles C. Vroom IV, who died from complications of COVID-19 sustained in the line of duty," the tweet read. "P.O. Vroom had been with the Dept. since 2004... Our thoughts are with his family. We will never forget his service."

WTF are you yammering about? The article doesnt say his vaccination status.

From YOUR LINK
Specifics of Vroom’s COVID-19, such as whether it was a breakthrough case, were not released.

all cops have to get vaccinated or lose their jobs. The fact that they wont say shows you he was vaccinated

had he not been vaccinated they would have said look, he was unvaccinated and died and they would use that to push the vaccine.

They know whos vaccinated and who isnt, its not like you can hide it these days

you cant even eat inside in NYC without showing your vaccine passport, your telling me the the cops dont know whos vaccinated and whos not?

gIve me a break!

The low rate of vaccination compliance by New York’s finest has lame duck Mayor Bill de Blasio threatening to withhold pay checks from the police and other city workers.
Under the mayor’s mandate, all city workers must be vaccinated or be tested weekly for the disease. That order goes into effect on Monday, with an estimated 340,000 city workers under its guidelines.
“If someone, again, does not follow that mandate, that’s true, eventually, they’re not going to be paid, obviously,” de Blasio said in a press conference on Thursday.

^ why are you linking de Blasio when you're talking about a Nassau cop? Where's the requirement statement for Nassau cops? I hadn't heard.

No one said they're "rare." Where'd ya see that?

Estimated cases of vaccinated people are 80-90% fewer than estimated cases of UNvaccinated people.

10-20% is not "rare" in anyone's book.

For sure it's tragic - but this vaccine was never advertised as 100%, and posts like this one DO NOTHING to help us out of this stupid mess. Vaccinated people catch it less than unvaccinated people. There is no argument to that.

and if you search for lets say, "breathrough cases rare" you will find millions and millions of articles, here is one

https://www.al.com/news/2021/09/covi...ort-shows.html

Breakthrough cases of COVID – defined as those occurring among fully vaccinated people – remain rare.

Overall, less than 0.2% of participants in the study reported a breakthrough infection with those rare cases more likely to be among people considered vulnerable, including older adults and those with underlying issues. Only 6% of the people with breakthrough infections reported symptoms.
