sale history for house in huntington
Can anyone help me find out the sale history for a house in huntington? Zillow seems to claim house was last purchased for a song.

If you would like to send me a private message with the address, I'd be glad to look it up for you.

I would look upon Zillow with skeptism . My Dad had once bought me a tiny house in Setauket in a so-so neighborhood which I sold for under $100 K (twenty years ago) and I zillowed it the other day and the new people had it listed at $2,345,000. I guess they needed a good laugh,

I recently found a great site for comps and previous house sales: Cyberhomes.com

The easiest way of course is to ask a Realtor, such as Tom, Gigi, or me... Please take Zillow with a grain of salt! It's been my experience that this site can't distinguish between "neighborhoods". Sometimes the prices are in the ballpark, other times, way off!
domania.com compiles actual "closed" prices and then you have sites such as trulia and realtytrac, among others. And just recently, MLSLI.com added a search feature for "sold" homes.
Hope this helps

Hello lawoman4368,
Go on Town of Huntington , accept the disclaimer, then so onto site history summary and type in the address (just the number and the street name without the word "street", "road", etc...), it will give you info on any home in Huntington.
