Question Avidce on hope for homeowner program?

I'm interested to know if this program (HOPE FOR HOME OWNERS) will lower anyone mortgage with whatever income you have? What are the requirements? Does anyone know other programs?

There are no income restrictions, but you must have enough income to demostrate that you will be able to make the payments on your new loan. You should contact your lender to find out if it participates in the program, as it is a voluntary program and not all lenders will do it.

My lender participates in the program. They said, "call back in two weeks to get the list of local agencies that authorized to help me do the process". According to my lender, it seems like I have to go to counseling before I can apply for modifications. Thanks
