Default Oyster Festival

Hi!
Is the Oyster Festival this weekend and does anyone have any inside information to share with a newcomer to the festival?
such as
Admission price?
Best place to park?
Best time to arrive and leave?
Or anything else I may have neglected to mention.
Thanks in advance

Oyster Bay. If the weather is good, it will be VERY crowded and you will have to park a long way from downtown.

Yes, I've always avoided this event because of the crowds and my dislike for oysters/shellfish/etc.

But you can expect bad traffic into the main road leading into town, I used to have a business up there about 10 years ago and it pretty much tied everything up

Went 10AM on Sun. A bit chilly, but no traffic, parking right in front of the main entrance. Great event, even better than when I went 2 years ago. Rides, animals, pirates for the kids, great food, unique merchants. OB does an EXCELLENT job. Kudos, really.
