Homeowners Insurance
Hi, I'm trying to get homeowners insurance quotes online and so far, Allstate and State Farm give me error messages that say quotes aren't available for Nassau County. Does anyone know what companies do offer homeowners insurance for Nassau County? Thanks in advance!

Both of those have pulled out of the Long Island market. Travelers also bailed on the region. I'd suggest you contact an insurance broker to find a suitable insurer.

That's strange, we just got State Farm homeowners last week for our new house in Garden City. Their policy was very competitive too. We dealt with Lorraine at 516-832-8400.

I also got State Farm in August. They were the lowest out of all the quotes I got.

Most of the online quotes won't work for Long Island. It seems that the various carriers either don't cover Long Island at all, or only cover houses that fall outside a certain distance from the water. It's easier for them to just throw up a message saying "contact an agent" than to make a decision on their website.
For a point of reference, State Farm was the cheapest I got in July.
