It's bad enough when people don't clean up their dog's poop, but my neighbor's parents bring their dog over and walk him by people's cars and let him urinate on their tires. Seriously. People. Have some consideration for the rest of us. I don't need my car smelling like dog pee.

I wonder what they would do if YOU decided to just pee on THEIR car tires?? They would probably have a fit!!!
A lot of people just don't have consideration.

I just thought of something..... the homeowners may not "own" that strip of grass, but they're responsible for maintaining it, right? Okay, so what if they decide to put a little picket fence around it (maybe 1 1/2 - 2 feet high) and plant flowers or something in it? Then, the dogs can't pee or poop all over it and it will stay nice.... Would the town have any say in this? Could the homeowner get in trouble for doing this to "town" property?

I live on a corner property (1/3 acre) and always maintain the curbs, etc. Never minded anyone parking in front of the house (it actually rarely happens) but the neighbors directly IN from us have visitors who frequently would park directly across from the end of our driveway, making it difficult to back out or in my husband's case with his big van to back in as he likes to. They would never park in front of my neighbor's house which would make the most sense. Finally knocked on their door and had a kind word with them, and now it rarely if ever happens. Just common sense to not block across from the end of someone's driveway.

Thats nothing, I used to deliver mail for the post office as a temp and there were at least a few people on every route that didnt want you to walk on the lawn. Do you know how long it would take to deliver all that mail if you had to walk up and down every driveway to the sidewalk? I dont because the people usually werent home and I was doing different routes every day so I just ignored it, once in a while someone would complain to me or call the office but I didnt care.

I am having the same problem. If my dog poops I always pick it up and dispaose of it. But if they pee how am I supposed to clean that up?
I always thought the city owned the property between the sidewalk and the road.

I would be pissed if someone let thier dog do all thier business in front of my home also. The neighbor has every right. Who do you think maintains that strip of grass??? It is probably her........
Take your dog in front of YOUR house and let the dog do his buisness in front of YOUR house. That should solve the whole problem. Jeez, that was really a no brainer.

I understand your plight but my mailman breaks my dam lights when he cuts across the lawn and says nothing!

Easy preventive/cure for mail carriers cutting across front lawns to go from one house's mailbox to another: A fence, shrubs, or any other knee-to-waist-level planting along the sides of the front property line.
