The salad bar, that's right! The odd thing about that is...at that time, the car wouldn't have really been old!, not "nostalgic"...

Yeah, the game farm, we loved it. I remember last time I was there (early '90s) I was irritated by it's condition. But it is probably privately run?

i was at the game farm last summer and i would say that it has improved over the years..definately got cleaned up a bit

The LI Game Farm was in Manorville, out in Suffolk County.

Really? My brother lived on the Golf course there. (Pine Hills) and I never been to the game farm!

How about Alexanders Dept. Store? I remember there was one in Valley Stream. It must be gone by now...

Alexanders! I remember that what about Martins department stores there was one in the SmithHaven mall my grandma loved it!

Default Rock Bottom store in East Meadow

Was there more then one Rock bottom store? For a while i lived in East Meadow very close to Rock Bottom, that was a great store, i believe that store is gone right?

Anybody live near there? Merrick Ave, it was across the street from the Apollo Diner.

I used to ride my dirt bike across the street (RT 347) from the SmithHaven Mall.

Rockbottom...I miss THAT place. It was terrific. Now these chain drug stores stink...they are also very expensive. I try to shop for those sorts of things at Target or the dollar store..
