Default Lynbrook Supermarkets

Hi,

Finally signed my contract and should be moving to Lynbrook in December. I wanted to find out where us the best supermarket. By which I mean, best selection, best produce, and best prices. Any suggestions?

Karen

King Kullen on Sunrise hwy in Rockville center

Stop in shop in Oceanside on Long Beach Road

Cross Island fruit store in Lynbrook. Excellent Produce, Meats, Deli, Bakery and Seafood. You must try their chicken sausage - yummy

KING KULLEN IS GOOD BUT A MAJOR RIP-OFF. Stop and Shop in O-Side is depressing and kind of a ride from Lynbrook. Cross Island Fruits is awesome but for vegetable and meat, not grocery items. There is a GIGANTIC Pathmark on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square that has great deals. I recommend it.

You can also try Best Yet in Franklin Square. Its not fancy, but it has pretty good prices and products.

Pathmark in East Rockaway (barely over the O'side border) is amazing, too. Great deals - much more reasonable than King Kullen in RVC or Stop and Shop in Oside.

Waldbaums in Rockville Centre (falls on border of Lynbrook) on Sunrise HWY. The service has gone down a bit but they have the best prices. There is also a Waldbaums on Long Beach Road in Oceanside and one on Merrick Rd. in Valley Stream. What street in Lynbrook are you moving too? I grew up there?

I would avoid the one in Valley Stream. My family has stopped shopping there, everytime I go there it just seems dirty. The King Kullen in the little shopping plaza off of Merrick in Valley Stream is really nice. Clean, spacious. I don't know about the prices though.

I didn't know people commute that far to go to the grocery store? I always figured theres atleast 2 in a 1 mile radius of your house.
