Many companies have moved down to these areas as a result of the policies, however in many cases the pay they are offering tend to be sub-standard (even taking into consideration the lower living costs) same with insurance programs offered to employees, etc.

The South is historically conservative? The South was owned by Democrats for decades. Their fiscal policies were very liberal (and corrupt). Remember our friend LBJ from Texas and his socialist policies? It's only been over the last 20 yrs that you've seen real fiscal conservatives take over there. The results given their history have been great.

I'm not sure what you are trying to get at by saying some areas in these States that have been successful are "blue" areas. First off, there is no data over the last 20 yrs to support this. Secondly, are you trying to say that people who are "blue" are inherently smarter and more hard working?

Once again, you say State X is far behind State Y while you ignore the progress made in State X under conservative leadership. Your argument basically is...because the South hasn't completely reversed 200 years of history in 20 yrs of conservative rule, then those policies have failed.

Sorry but that's ridiculous.

Now that the country has been A$$raped and handed over to Wall St.

FDR-LBJ-BHO....Karmas a beeotch.

Dont worry, soon enough we'll forget all about this mess and the Right will be out exhuming Reagan again. They'll be looking for Red States to lock arms with as they cloak themselves in lies about how they stand for personal freedom, small business, small government, accountability and bootstraps as they screw middle class once again.

“There’s an old saying in Tennessee — I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can’t get fooled again.” GWB, September 17, 2002.

Note the foreshadowing.

As for LI, I believe we are Red beyond measure economically and Bluer than blue as far as education is concerned.

Does that make us Mauve?

Well it won't matter soon if BHO and his pals Pelosi and Murtha have their way. We'll all be RED states. And maybe we'll belong to one big party, and we'll be part of one big union yeah that would be great. Maybe we'll all get little hammer and sickle pins. That'll be great.

Oh yeah, I also like my babies ALIVE.
Then go move down south where roads deteriorate more quickly than the beloved more-often-divorced families with all those live babies (despite the also-higher infant mortality rate).

Because corporate taxes are lower and many of these states are right to work.

As a result, businesses do better, they have a harder time finding quality labor, and the quality of life is poor.

Do you see it another way?

I love this idea that Hollywood is run by the likes of Barbra Streisand or Timothy Robbins.

Hollywood is run by corporations and stockholders, just like McDonalds, Smith & Wesson and Texaco. It is major entertainment corporations spewing their filth because it attracts eyes.

And these actors wouldn't make these films if the studios would fund projects that actually required them to act.

The whole, "Hate Hollywood" O'Reilly whine is old, tired, and misdirected.

Dear Red States:
If you manage to steal this election, too, we've decided we're leaving.
We intend to form our own country, and we're taking the other Blue
States with us. In case you aren't aware, that includes California ,
Hawaii , Oregon , Washington , Minnesota , Wisconsin , Michigan ,
Illinois and all the Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial
to the nation, and especially to the people of the new country of New
California.

To sum up briefly: You get Texas , Oklahoma and all the slave states. We
get stem cell research and the best beaches.
We get the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood.
We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.
We get Harvard. You get Ole' Miss.
We get 85% of America 's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get
Alabama .
We get two-thirds of the tax revenue, you get to make the red states pay
their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22% lower than the Christian
Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single
moms.

Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and anti-war,
and we're going to want all our citizens back from Iraq at once. If you
need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have kids they're
apparently willing to send to their deaths for no purpose, and they
don't care if you don't show pictures of their children's caskets coming
home. We do wish you success in Iraq , and hope that the WMDs turn up,
but we're ! not wil ling to spend our resources in Bush's Quagmire.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80% of the
country's fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92%
of the nation's fresh fruit, 95% of America's quality wines, 90% of all
cheese, 90% of the high tech industry, 95% of the corn and soybeans
(thanks Iowa!), most of the U.S. low-sulfur coal, all living redwoods,
sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus
Stanford, Cal Tech, UCLA, Berkeley and MIT.

With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88%
of all obese Americans (and their projected health care costs), 92% of
all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100% of the tornadoes, 90% of the
hurricanes, 99% of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100% of all
televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the
University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite , thank you.

Additionally, 38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually
swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we're discussing
the war, the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that evolution is only
a theory, 53% that Saddam was involved in
9/11 and 61% of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher
morals then we lefties.

Finally, we're taking the good pot, too. You can have that dirt weed
they grow in Mexico .

Peace out,

--Blue States
God I love this!!!!
don't forget that a huge percentage of Red states still beleive that Pro Wrestling is real. I did too, I will admit, but then I turned 7.

Default Job creation in Oklahoma?
