The noise is only present in my immediate neighborhood. I went to other areas and did not hear it. It's probably someone idling their truck or something, I haven't found the source yet.

That was the only other place i heard it, in the woods, the nearest street was about a 1/2 mile away it's possible the sound of an idling truck could travel some distance.
Being it's cold weather trucks idle alot more. It has to be just a coincidence, I'm sure.

Any roadwork going on in the area? When they repave, that steamroller can produce quite a low hum that can be heard (and the vibrarions felt) from pretty far away.
