Shouldnt they be electrifed to 112 on the Main line by now?
Has anyone else noticed the eastward poulation shift over the past 30 effing years?
WTF is wrong with the MTA?
If they were a corporation and they failed to adapt to a changing market theyd be out of business and still we subsidize this horses4!t.
They suck.
I want a refund.

I saw a special on News12 years ago that gave a little history about the Medford train station. The folks that lived in Medford used to buy vegetables in Patchogue and sell them at the Medford train station as "Local grown". They were trying to entice people off of the train so they would spend a little money in Medford. Unfortunately, Medford had no farming to speak of, nor industry or a bustling town atmosphere (Like Patchogue). Once people got off the train, they were stuck waiting for the next train among the various wagon peddlers.
I do not recall the exact timeframe but it was back when the LIRR was pretty new and towns relied on the railroad to bring in tourists, supplies, etc. Apparently the bigger the trainstation, the bigger the towns reputation.
So, Medford was settled by a bunch of hustlers.

Obviously we need to protect the rustic heritage of Ye Olde Medford.
Lets just jam the entire Township into Ronkonkoma in the AM.
We suck.
