OK the Greenleaf trail is a bit west of the proposed Islip Pines. I still dont think it should be built. Dont we have enough development already? The land should be purchased for preservation.

Honestly, who'd want to preserve that spot? It's surrounded by highways, industrial buildings and retail (Sun Vet to the west, Consumers Kitchens to the north, an adult video store, and the whole Costco park to the east).

WalMart? Blech...I had to go into the one in East Meadow once and it was frightening. I wouldn't at all be surprised if they lowered property values.

Walmart is not something i support. Never been in one.
But I went to Target twice and thought it was okay. Keep in mind these stores are what ruined main street America.

I'm so liberal that I'm a borderline communist. Sorry folks, but I shop at WalMart. The big stores charge absolutely abusive prices on everything from milk and eggs to coke and trash bags.
I'm disappointed that you can't find a WalMart Supercenter on the island with full service food.

Walmarts seem to be crime magnets.
