We've needed a forum for local politics for some time.

Please be civil.

Problem with local politics is that there are few, if any, small government Republicans. Long Island Republicans are more like center-left Democrats.

Brookhaven Dems are like sell out GOPs, the party of the Special Interest.
The party desperately needs new leadership.Meet the new boss same as the old boss.

The Radical Right and Radical Left shoud both embrace the Libertarian movement. We need a true 3rd party both locally and nationally.
Shame they have no teeth locally and that Bob Barr is an Assclown Right leaning panderer on the National stage.

Another vote for this thread to be sticky.

I also agree with Wally Greenspan on LI republicans... they are the biggest disgrace to conservatism. You can't run on a platform of smaller government and less taxes and subsequently give police each and every police officer a lottery ticket.
