I agree that its changing, but its not just Centereach, the entire Long Island is changing. Here's some statistics.
"Long Island continues to become more racially and culturally diverse. Since 2005, the percent of the population identifying themselves as Black, Hispanic or Asian each edged up slightly. Since 1990, the White population has declined from 84% to 72%. Hispanics are both the largest and most rapidly growing minority population, having increased from 6% to nearly 13% in the last decade and a half. The Black population has increased modestly, growing from 7% to 9%. Asians have also increased rapidly, growing from 3.5% to 5%. These trends reflect both national and regional trends, both in terms of the general trend toward greater diversity and in the rapid growth of Hispanics and Asians specifically."

Everyone that I know, who has children is pleased with the education their children are getting.
Cesspools are not the best thing. Waste flows out of you home through septic tank lines and enters near the top of the septic tank. When your septic tank is working properly the organic solids float to the top of the tank and inorganic solids sink to the bottom. The bacteria in your septic tank then convert the solids to a liquid form.
Middle country road is dangerous - but its not the only road on Long Island.
Other dangerous road:
NASSAU
Hempstead Tpk, Fulton Ave. 15
Merrick Rd. 7
Sunrise Hwy. (Rt. 27) 7
Jericho Tpk. (Rt. 25) 5
SUFFOLK
Sunrise Hwy. 12
Jericho Tpk. Middle Country Rd.
Main Rd. (Rt. 25) 6
Route 25A 4

I shouldve been more specific about Middle Country.
Its a pedestrian deathtrap of late.
Are you in Three Village or Newfield?
How big are the plots in Cetereach?
I know Selden can be tight in some areas.
Were on 100x100 in Rocky Point by the water.
Some are on 60x100 ...some are on an Acre+ further inland.
Best,

It looks like about 1/3rd of Connetquot district lies north of Vets Highway, which looks to me like it means that the district is fed by equal 3rds Oakdale, Bohemia, and Ronkonkoma, with some of the parts of Ronkonkoma being the lower end of the district, but nothing too rough.
It's one of the places I will be looking to buy. I live there now.
The biggest issue to me with this district is where the library is located if you live in the Northern area.

I moved from Manhattan - so, Middle Country Road can't even compare with the driving of crazy taxi drivers.
Not sure what school my house belongs to - no kids yet- maybe soon. But, the high school graduation rates for Middle Country District look good. It really depends on every family and how much time they spend with their children.
My house in Centereach is nine years old and sit on 0.5 acre.
I'm not familiar with Selden.

Possibly. If I had to guess I would say its more like 20% Ronk. and 80% Bohemia & Oakdale.
I wonder if there is anything out there that shows these percentages for LI schools?

Regardless, if you drive around the district and look at the ratings, it's in the top half of districts on LI, above Sachem, and there aren't really any "bad" areas there at all. I can be a bit ugly and industrial/corporate in the middle, but that keeps the taxes down, a la Hauppauge.
