I had the consultation with Dr.Pasternak today and told him I do not want to go totally asleep for the colonoscopy.
He said they use Propofol and the anesth.will adjust to my comfort level. If I should want more I will say so.
Has anyone here had that used to stay awake during the procedure but to take the edge off?
Thanks for any info
Nervous!(going for the test early March)
After researching a little on propofol,I realize that is for people who want to sleep through the procedure (and I don't)
So hopefully someone can tell me what drug worked for them when they wanted conscious sedation during the colonoscopy?
Thanks
FYI I had the colonoscopy today and it went well.
Dr.Pasternack and his whole office staff are really nice
