I don't mind since the Riverhead outlets are like an outdoor mall for us and a lot closer then Smith Haven mall. Some outlet store will get other store clearence items and the makes the store an outlet store even tho most stuff are regularly priced. Some stores in Riverhead like Juicy or Uggs are true outlets and Skechers always has a buy 1 get 1 policy that makes it an "outlet" store. etc. I've only been to the DP one once myself but since it is a Tanger just like Riverhead, I am sure it pretty much is the same thing!
Since you have two insiders there, besides Juicy, Uggs and Sketchers, which other stores are "true outlets" and which ones mostly stock regular priced items (which translates into a waste of time for outlet shoppers)?

I have found that the Brooks Bros. outlet in Riverhead definitely charges outlet prices because I have compared it to shopping in actual Brooks Bros. stores.

I can tell you the BCBG outlet is a "True Outlet", I buy a lot of their stuff and it's worth the trip to me ($118 tops for $30).
The Saks off Fifth is a "True Outlet", I buy all my jeans there and usually save about $75 a pair. If you sign up for their mailing list you can also get 25% off coupons.
The Banana Republic outlet is
The Neimans Last Call is
Cosmetics Company Store is (MAC/Estee Lauder)

I don't know. I was there today after a long while of not going and I was among about twenty people in the entire place. I did see a bag I liked in Saks , but it was $2,150. The Christmas Tree Store seemed to be the only store that had any amount of people in it .
What is BCBG ?

I don't understand "how" they can open up the place, with a crowd like that.

When I was there it was dead as well. It's too cold! There is an outlet mall in NJ called Jersey Gardens that is in an actual enclosed mall. They'd be better off laying the mall out that way.

BCBG is a clothing line. BCBGMAXAZRIA: Search for. You have to go knowing what you want to buy... like the jeans I buy retail for about $175. I wait for the 25% off coupon at Saks, where they are usually priced at $108, with the coupon they're around $92.

Just Peachy is on a distinguished road
My dd works in UGGs and that is a true outlet. Stores like Pac-Sun where my other dd works is not an outlet, Aeropostale is not an outlet because the dd that worked in Uggs use to work there. American Eagle is not an outlet. Limited too was not an outlet when my dd was younger and I still don't think it is. Coach is an outlet and so is the Disney store. I don't notice Journeys being an outlet s my dds get shoes there. I wouldn't say the paper factory was an outlet. Victoria Secret is an outlet. Basically the stores my kids go to are not outlets!! I go alot to Country Clutter and thats not an outlet. I never noticed outlet prices alot at Nike or not for the stuff I ever bought there. Charlotte Russe is not an outlet. I don't think Guess is an outlet, but I haven't been in there lately. I don't think Old Navy is an outlet.
My daughter that works in Pac-sun gets asked alot about the stores being outlet stores! The answer is usually that they get all the other stores clearance items to sell in the back of the store! I still love Riverhead Tanger and I do hope to visit the DP one again when the weather is warmer and I can really stay outside longer.

Those are in the Riverhead Tanger.... from what I understand, the Coach store has pretty decent prices --- about 3 weeks ago, they had a 50% off sale and I didn't even know about it! I've been looking for a new bag and I definitely would have taken the trip to get 50% off the clearance price for a nice Coach bag.... Oh well....

I never heard of Country Clutter but I'm thinking they're in Riverhead also.
