Tanger Deer Park - Actually "outlets"????
I had been to Tanger in Deer Park once just to see it and walk around and browse around the stores (this was back in December probably). I didn't pay much attention to prices since I wasn't planning on buying anything.
Well, I went today and I have to say I am disappointed! I went to Limited Too/Justice to see about buying a few things for my daughter and the prices are exactly what they are in the regular store. Their clearance items cost MORE than they would in the regular store and mainly consisted of tank tops (a TON of tank tops!) and a few spring/summer tops and some shorts and a few pairs of sweat pants (most of the stuff other than the tanks looked like it had been sitting in a backroom for months -- it was all dusty looking)
I checked out one or two other stores and didn't see much difference in their prices compared to the regular store prices.
I didn't get over to Old Navy or Gap but I'm *hoping* they at least have "outlet" prices! I know the Gap Outlet in Bellport has great prices.
What is everyone else's experience at Tanger Deer Park?

Since I didnt go to the outlets to look at their prices and compare them to other stores, I actually liked it. Its a miniature Riverhead outlets. They still need to put a couple of more stores in there but I actually liked it. I been there 3 times. First time was at midnight on Black Friday, 2nd was about a month ago and third was last week.
I only heard one complaint about 1 store. My female friend went into Dress Barn and had absolutely nothing she liked. She said she always goes into Dress Barn stores and never leaves empty handed but she did at the Outlets.

The thing is, my daughter does a lot of her shopping at Limited Too/Justice (used to be 2 different stores, now merged) so I know the prices. Not to mention, we just got their catazine and the prices in the "outlet" store were exactly the same as the catazine and the regular store.
I'm going to check out Gap and Old Navy next week. I also went in The Christmas Tree Shoppe --- they have some excellent prices! I'm going back there next week as well to pick up some frames and some HBA items.

i noticed the same thing when i went there when it first opened... didnt seem to have many discounts in most of the stores. basically its an outdoor mall. maybe riverhead tanger wont die a quick death after all, once people realize theres no deals at deer park.

I feel sorry for those Deer Park residents.
BOY, did they get taken for a ride on this thing !
As to the prices...if there is ANY Truth to the Darwinian business principles...survival of the "fittest"...you will find, like in Tangier, you will see A LOT of reshuffling of these stores, and the expensive ones will just "disappear".
BUT WHAT AM I SAYING, in the Age of the Bailout/HAND OUT, right ?

Does Deer Park have a Coupon Center Office ?
Did you "google" for coupon offers for the malls ? Try "Tanger Mall store coupons "

I was just shopping there and I found some ridiculous deals on winter clothing. Im talking 80-90% off. I got 4 big bags(filled) for like $60 bucks. Including a 3-in-1 winter coat for $9.99, originally $45.00!!

They do have a customer service place where you can get coupons and you can also download coupons directly from the Tanger at the Arches site (none for the store we went to, tho). However, if it's an "outlet", the prices should be lower than the stores without the coupons, right?

Which stores did you shop in?? I'm sure that Gap and Old Navy have good prices since the Gap in Bellport does and Old Navy always has major clearance bargains in their regular stores.
The point in my original post, though, is that why are these called "outlets" if the prices are what they are in the regular stores??? Aren't you supposed to get "warehouse prices" when a place is an "outlet"????

Well this was my first trip there. So I dont know about the prices when it first opened. I was in Old Navy, Izod & The Childrens Place. And all 3 had some real good deals. The plan was to go to Old Navy but after seeing the sale signs I was lured into the other stores & wasnt disapointed.
