Im in the hunt for a 1-2 bedroom condo unit for sale in the Garden city area. My price range would be around 250-300k. How is the school system in Garden city and how much are the taxes (average) for a condo unit?

I am currently renting in Kew Garden Hills and will end my lease in a few months. Was eyeing LI and have seen Garden City/Westbury area which appeals to my taste.

You are at the very low range of condos in Garden City, if at all, but there might be one-bedrooms in the range. Check out www.gcnews.com for all the local real estate listings, including condos. The GC school district is always in the Top 10 of Long Island, and by all accounts, outstanding. You will be much more in your price range in Westbury, but the school district there is really underperforming and faces many challenges.
