She's not --- and never was --- a "bright young woman". The LIP used her to get publicityfor their free newspaper. Her book was not written by her --- it was "co-written" by her and the publisher/owner of the LIP.
I read the book (simple read, took me a few hours) and wasn't impressed with either of their writing ability. A simple story about a young, spoiled girl who got involved with an older married skeeve who used and abused her and talked her into shooting his wife. Nothing spectacular. Her book (according to her) was supposed to "help" young girls not make the same mistakes she did.... nothing in the book even hinted at where or how young girls/women could get help. No, it was all about Amy, Amy, Amy.
She is what she is. She will never change. |
