Still, the automatic assumption that I must be up to something is insulting. I suspect this is the type of person who blames middle class people for losing their jobs; "he who complains must be at fault somehow."
It was not my intent to insinuate you were "up to something". Rather, I found it odd you didn't notice the 8-10 free HBO's you were receiving.
So to answer your question, Verizon is probably not "slamming" all Long Islanders.. Moderator cut: comment

Your snark seems to make more sense if you choose to ignore all the sense laid out before you. I'd have no reason to hunt through channels 400 through 300 if I'm used to being confined to 2 though 25. That makes good sense.
The challenged one is the guy who hunts through 975 channels looking to pick up a freebie.

After I called and complained last month, they admitted that I said no when asked if I wanted free HBO, and they said they removed the HBO - they billed me for it again!
verizon sucks. I always said it. told it to them on the phone many of times. they had a monopoly on long island for the longest time. the moment that ended, I switched. I told them I was leaving them. the operator told "you'll be back". I never went back and this was over 10 years ago.

Cablevision may not be the best, but between them and Verizon, I would pick Cablevision every single time.
