Default Differences between north merrick and south merrick

Moving to merrick but trying to determine which school has more to offer in high school. I am considering homes that would either send my children to JFK high school or Calhoun high school? Education is a very important factor in my decision. Any advice? Move north or south???

For those who may be unfamiliar with the area, there is the Hamlet of North Merrick and the Hamlet of Merrick, but no "South Merrick".

I went to JFK. It's ranked very high, better than Calhoun. Most students were from South Merrick and South Bellmore. I did not like it because of the fierce competition, both scholastically and monetarily. You may want to go to both areas and talk to some people to get a feel for yourself. Good luck!

Both seem good. Love the whole Merrick-Bellmore-Wantagh-Seaford area, the way Nassau should be, never should've left.
