Default Zoning for Elementary Schools, Farmingdale

My husband and I just had a bid accepted on a house in North Massapequa. The house is in the Farmingdale school district. How can I figure out what elementary school we are zoned for? Also any other info about the area would be helpful (restaurants, shops, parks, etc.)

Call the department of transportation in Farmingdale School District. They can tell you. I think you will be with one of the better elementary schools in Farmingdale if you are going to reside in North Massapequa. As for restaurant/shops, I reside in Farmingdale but don't really spend too much time in the town. I know North Massapequa has a place called Kirsch's and they have AMAZING homemade ice cream. Congratulations on the bid being accepted on the home.

It's most likely zoned for Albany Ave. Elementary School. The only other possibility for N. Mass. in the F'dale district would be Woodward Parkway Elementary School. Either way is good

As for restaurants, downtown F'dale has a bunch of nice places worth checking out. Croxley's for wings, Ubaldo for Italian, & Terry G's for a nice neighborhood steak house are but a few of your choices. Massapequa also has plenty of choices including Krisch's (already mentioned), Minami for Japanese, the famous All American Burger for a trip down fast food memory lane and great fries, and a number of others.

In terms of parks, there are a number of them around both large and small. Obviously Bethpage State Park is the largest and is wonderful for golfers. TOBAY parks in the area include Allen, Post and Burns, all have different facilities ranging from pools to tennis courts.

Shopping all depends on what you're looking for.

Congrats and welcome to the neighborhood.
