GOOD CATCH !

Or...the real estate agents "take", and maybe the closing costs.

They are trying to make up for SOME expense, SOMEHOW.

This is one way to get it back, but MINUS TEN POINTS, for a frivolous reason !

Default What is something worth?

What someone is willing to pay for it, now, today.

It has been a sellers market and prices have been so insane for so long that some radical adjustment was inevitable.

I think a lot of it has to do with boomers parents finally passing away, and boomers themselves retiring. Both these things lower demand for housing.

It's become increasingly common for listings to be shown only to buyers who are pre-APPROVED (not the useless a-monkey-can-get-one-in-15 mins pre-qualification nonsense) for a mortgage.

Why waste everybody's time on the frivolous lookie-loos?

For a seller I think it makes perfect sense to not invite everyone .... but looks like that is the exception, most sellers these days do not mind it.... not sure why !!

Most sellers will not restrict showings only to people with full blown pre-approvals, because most house hunters do not have them. By not allowing people without pre-approvals to view the home, they may be missing out on some very qualified buyers.
