It was one problem after another on both ends. My buyer, and then on top of that, issues with the seller of my current home. Nightmare.
We signed contracts for my old house early May, and mid May on my new house.
I had to sell to buy, so the problems with my buyer slowed things down, and then during that fiasco, the seller of my current home ended up having issues with CC's and other legal things with the property. After earlier failed attempts at closing,
I finally closed on both homes in early September.

Samalabear is on a distinguished road
In my particular development it is taking well over a year. A house that had been listed for almost three years, starting at around $360,000, lowered the price to $279,000 in January, finally sold last week at $250,000. There are at least two homes that have been on the market over a year, one priced at $369,000 and $389,000. The prices for these homes has not been changed since they were first listed. They are updated a tiny bit from the one that sold for $250,000.
