The facts are on my side, I just dont have the patience to debate each line item with you like JrP.
You are so incredibly off base about Central Suffolk I dont even know where to start, but this is not the thread.
We do agree that flyover country will likely remain a spot for good burger and a great place to pee before the city.
Now can we get back on topic?

I would actually break it down to west, central & eastern. West being west of Rt 111, Centreal LI between RT 111 & William Floyd, eastern LI, east of the William Floyd

Yeah, that gold coast area is really DENSE. There packed in there like lemmings on their 1+ acre plots...

Hmmmmm, I love this thread. It's a fun one and it's making me, a born and bred LIer THINK--always a good thing, I guess. And, I've come to the conclusion that it depends on where you're standing and where you're going as to what is East and West on LI. When I was a kid in Hicksville, Huntington was "Out East" to me, ha ha. But, since then, the line has gotten fuzzy for me. All in all, now from where we are, Setauket, when we say we're headed "Out East" we definitely mean the North or South Fork--anywhere east of Riverhead--or then again, maybe even a little west of them. Wow, this gets confusing................

Don't know what size apartment/house you're looking for...
Have you looked in Babylon, West Babylon, Deer Park, Lindenhurst?
Depending on your budget, there can actually be affordable homes right now

Hey! I'm from Baldwin, Nassau County and starting to feel like no one likes us
econimicexpert.com states: "....On the western part of Long Island are the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, east of them are Nassau and Suffolk counties. Most New Yorkers reserve the term "Long Island" or "the island" for Nassau and Suffolk counties only. Some others also consider Queens (with its neighborhood Long Island City) and sometimes even Brooklyn, to be part of "Long Island".
So perhaps we are all wrong and the east/west line is between Queens and Nassau, which by the way is not Eastern Queens

Suffolk is considered eastern Long Island. Nassau is considered western to 95% of Long Islanders.
