The one in Southampton and the one in EI both have matching SEIZED signs in the windows so I think the whole bunch are done.

The Tally-Ho Diner on 110 next to Sam Ash.

The canon on Little East Neck Road in West Babylon (we'd sit on it as kids drinking soda we bought at Zito's).

Mike's Hobby Shop on Little East Neck (loooooong gone)

Scavenging in the Town of Babylon dump. The dump is still there but you can't go looking for stuff like we did as kids.

Lunch at Woolworth's.

B&B seafood when it was a hole in the wall.

The Beefalo place on 25A and Cold Spring Rd.

Record Shopping at TSS, who doesn't miss that, or Jack in the Box tacos?

I can't believe you said that----I didn't think anyone else knew of the BK tacos. The difference was the sauce on the tacos but they were good.

I mentioned them in another thread a few weeks back. They were only around for maybe a month, along with the BK chili and other $1 wonders.

I miss the awesome roast beef sandwich from Roy Rogers...but I don't miss it enough to drive out to Shirley.

We used to have a Brennan & Carr in RVC (who also made great roast beef sandwiches), but they closed down a few months back.

It might be a little off base since Im from Pa. but now live on the island. But what Im missing since being here is a "real" Philly cheese steak. Anyone know a place that makes a good one? And please dont send me to a place where they use cold cut meat-roast beef.

About 2 years ago The Lazy Clam in Smithtown closed down. I only ate there once and it was AMAZING. Right by where I grew up and I just never went. I went about 2 months before it closed. So sad it's gone. I would go all the way there from Queens for dinner if it was still open lol. I don't even know why it closed down. It suddenly happened.

I miss Time Out in the mall. Went there all the time as a kid.

Also miss Spaceplex.

there's a couple of places in Manhattan that do a pretty good impersonation (wit whiz and all that), but I'm not aware of any on LI.

I know of a couple really good places in Manhattan that are decent, but I don't know if you work in the city or are ever there.
